My passion is helping people reclaim the connection to their bodies after living with the effects of trauma. Over the years, I’ve been on a mission to demystify how traumatic stress impacts pelvic health. Most recent, I’ve done a deep dive into supporting myself and others who have undergone a hysterectomy. Personally, I found it hard to find pelvic health professionals that fully understood my body’s trauma response to pelvic floor therapy. As an occupational therapist and yoga teacher I sought out to make a different offering I saw a need for: a holistic pelvic health wellness option that empowered people through education, movement, yoga, breath work, nervous system regulation, and mindfulness.

Many people who are living with the impact of trauma experience somatic symptoms such as pelvic pain, hip pain, low back pain, neck and shoulder tension, difficulty taking a full deep breath, urinary incontinence and/or frequency, gastrointestinal distress, and constipation. Supporting your nervous system is a key element that threads much of this together which includes the ability to access, soften or relax, and put into action in an integrated way.

What to expect:

  • I offer an expansive array of opportunities to empower you to connect with the power and resilience that resides within your pelvis.

  • I offer you support in reclaiming and embodying this vital source of your body.

 Sessions are centered around:

  • Education on how the pelvic floor and core work to support you

  • Becoming aware of your body’s patterns during movement and breathing

  • Reflecting on habits/routines that support your pelvic health

  • Nervous System Regulation that includes:

    • Sensory regulation

    • Breathing

    • Functional Movement

    • Posture

    • Body mapping

    • Self myofascial release

    • Yoga

    • Mindfulness

    • Interoception (awareness of what you are sensing inside your body)
